Research Interests and Publications
Mr Chesser continues to publish and present research and articles on current Orthopaedic Practice. He publishes in peer reviewed journals and his research interests include biomaterials, biomechanics of fracture fixation, outcome after injury and the requirement for medical services at motor racing circuits.
Mr Chesser is an invited lecturer in national and international orthopaedic meetings. He has co-chaired meetings in the UK Europe and China. He is a recognised internationally as an expert in locking plate technology.
Mr Chesser has been involved in the multicentre randomised control cohort trials with other major centres in the UK. Mr Chesser is a founder member of the "Foundation of Trauma" (UK) which is a body responsible for educating other Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeons in trauma care. He is also a founder member of the "Trauma Orthopaedic Research Collaborative" set up to further our understanding of the treatment of trauma. He is current involved in the design testing and implementation of Orthopaedic and Trauma devices.
